On Monday (20th), a Cathay Pacific flight had to make an emergency return after smoke filled the airplane’s cabin 30 minutes after takeoff.
The aircraft was departing from Logan International Airport in Boston, USA, to Hong Kong. The pilot of flight CX811 sent out a distress call shortly after takeoff.
“There were no reports of injuries among our customers or crew,” said a Cathay Pacific spokesperson. “We are regularly updating our customers on the flight’s status and will continue to provide the appropriate assistance,” he added.
