As Daniel Taub resigns, the trade between the United Kingdom and the United States has doubled. This occured during the Israeli ambassadors four-year term. On Friday, the United Kingdom made this announcement, and additionally stated Daniel Taub will be resining this coming summer.
The Israeli Embassy also released a statement, and spoke of the four-years Daniel Taub has served Israel as the ambassador between the United Kingdom and the United States. The embassy said his tenure resulted in clearer communications in the cultural, business and academic links experienced by both countries, having a direct effect on the significant increase in trade.
Sajid Javid serves as the British Secretary for Skills, Innovation and Business. At the Awards for the British Israeli Business towards the beginning of the month, he called the trade now flowing between the United Kingdom and the United States the golden era. More than three-hundred Israeli businesses have opened inside of the United Kingdom. The Israel-Britain Chamber of Commerce has stated this comes to a total of $5.5 billion every year in bilateral trade. According to Sajid Javid, the total is actually more than $7 billion.
